Overview

As the community development assistant manager you will create and maintain a positive public image for the Credit Union. Oversee promotion of the Credit Union through various methods. Build market position by generating revenue by community development officers acquiring new customers and by helping close new transactions with existing customers.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Community Development Officer I position.
  • Delivermonthly one-on-ones for CDOIs.
  • Coach staff members to achieve sales results and new business.
  • Create a positive morale and environment.
  • Motivate and monitor sales results to hit targets.
  • Develop regional consistency in all areas of Community Development.
  • Develop internal/external referral sources through participation in Credit Union events, community activities, and participation in professional groups.
  • Plan and execute events in our communities with favorable results.
  • Responsible for knowing all credit union products and services.
  • Develop consistency in all areas of Community Development.
  • Partner with Branch Management and Executive team to ensure alignment and consistency with Community Development Officers.
  • Organize supplies and events in assigned markets.
  • Communicate event details internally and externally.
  • Special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in marketing, business, finance, or related experience. 3 – 4 years’ management experience preferred. Ability to work with and communicate with all personnel and departments. Ability to give group presentations and create innovative marketing strategies. Previous sales experience is desirable. Ability to maintain the confidentiality of Credit Union and member records at all times.

 

Performance Standard:

Increase growth in all community development areas. Complete knowledge of Credit Union policies and procedures. Ability to market the Credit Union at every opportunity and make suggestions for improvement. Ability to work independently to meet the job requirements. Professional in appearance, attendance, quality, and quantity of work performed. Must be willing to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act as implemented by Idaho Central Credit Union.

 

Position Specific Additional Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting 70-80 pounds (items include money machine, coolers, tables, and other miscellaneous equipment).
  • Extensive local travel, this is a driving position and a company vehicle is provided.
  • Adequate auto insurance for driving while conducting company business.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (processing paperwork, filing, stapling, sorting, collating, typing, counting cash, etc.).
  • Sit for extended periods of time.
  • Lift 20-40 pounds of applicable supplies including but not limited to copy paper, cash drawers, marketing material, etc.
  • Repetitive motion using wrists, hands, and fingers.
  • Reach keyboards.
  • Ability to operate basic office machines (calculator, computer, telephone, copy machine, fax machine, etc.).
