Overview

As experienced AI Product Owner you will oversee creation and delivery of AI strategy and roadmaps to benefit our members and team members. The ideal candidate for the AI Product Owner position is a strategic thinker with a strong background in product management, particularly within AI or data-driven environments. They excel at aligning AI products with business objectives and are skilled in gathering and prioritizing requirements to create clear, actionable product roadmaps. They are adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing stakeholder relationships, and driving the successful execution of AI initiatives. They do that with a deep understanding of both business strategy and AI technologies. Their proactive mindset, strong analytical skills, and commitment to continuous learning ensure they can navigate the fast-paced landscape of AI product development while delivering solutions that are aligned with our strategic objectives and business needs.

Responsibilities

  •  Define and communicate the AI product vision, strategy, and roadmap to the development team and stakeholders.
  •  Research and analyze the market, customer needs, user behavior, and competitive products to identify opportunities and gaps for AI solutions.
  •  Collaborate with business analysts to gather and prioritize requirements, translating them into clear actionable product roadmaps.
  •  Collaborate with other product managers, developers, designers, testers, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and synergy across the product portfolio.
  •  Write and prioritize user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications for the development team.
  •  Plan and manage the product backlog, release schedule, and sprint planning.
  •  Coordinate and facilitate the product development process, including testing, quality assurance, deployment, and launch.
  •  Monitor and measure the product performance, user feedback, and customer satisfaction using various metrics and tools.
  •  Identify and resolve issues, risks, and dependencies that affect the product delivery and quality.
  •  Regularly update stakeholders on product progress, challenges, and outcomes, facilitating transparent and effective communication.
  •  Ensure that AI products deliver a seamless and effective user experience, incorporating feedback from end users into product development.
  •  Monitor the performance of AI products post-deployment, adjusting as necessary to optimize results and meet business goals.
  •  Keep up to date on credit union industry trends and innovate for competitive edge while also protecting intellectual property.
  •  Keep up date on regulatory landscape and governance for ethical and responsible use of AI.

Qualifications

  •  Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, data analytics, or related field.
  •  3+ years of experience in product management, with at least 2 years specifically in AI or data-driven product environments.
  •  Strong understanding of business strategies, with proven ability to align AI products with business objectives.
  •  Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, technologies, and tools, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams.
  •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in managing relationships with diverse stakeholders and business leaders.
  •  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  •  Experience with agile methodologies and tools, including managing backlogs, sprints, and product roadmaps.
  •  Commitment to delivering products that meet business and user needs, with experience in gathering and incorporating user feedback.
  •  Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
  •  Passion for staying up-to-date with latest trends in AI, governance, and product management.
  •  Familiarity with AI governance with emphasis on ethical and responsible use of AI.
  • Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and leadership skills.       

 

 

Experience managing customer-facing software systems. Experience developing and executing a software development project plans in collaboration with project managers or business analysts. Deep hands-on technical expertise; prior experience as a software developer or software development manager. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences. Ability to handle multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to navigate ambiguity and delivery incrementally to the right direction. A deep understanding of the software development life cycle, and a track record of shipping software on time. Experience designing software for scalability, reliability, and performance.

 

Performance Standard:

Build quality solutions through application development and sound architecture design.

Conduct technical (sometimes complex) research with resulting solution and prototype creation. Make Recommendations based on analysis of data, technical condition, and overall systems for new and innovative approaches to solving member and business problems. Build and deploy production level solutions for member use. Prepared to compose many technical documentations, reports, and diagrams. Willingness to work occasionally outside of normal business hours. Ability to always maintain the confidentiality of the Credit Union and member records. Must be willing to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act as implemented by Idaho Central Credit Union.

 

Physical Requirements:

  •  Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (processing paperwork, filing, stapling, sorting, collating, typing, counting cash, etc.).
  •  Sit for extended periods of time.
  •  Lift 20-40 pounds of applicable supplies including but not limited to copy paper, cash drawers, marketing material, etc.
  •  Repetitive motion using wrists, hands, and fingers.
  •  Reach keyboards.
  •  Ability to operate basic office machines (calculator, computer, telephone, copy machine, fax machine, etc.).
