Overview

The area of responsibility for the Server Admin is to implement, maintain and improve the servers, systems and associated products. The Server Admin position is responsible to help ensure that Idaho Central Credit Union is secure and available through the implementation of best practices, risk-based security requirements and controls set-forth by the Idaho Central Credit Union Security Program.

Responsibilities

  • Help to maintain Windows and Linux Servers by patching and ensuring they are deployed according to ICCU’s deployment guidelines.
  • Build out and maintain VMWare infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with Security and Workstations to configure GPO’s according to their recommendations.
  • Assist Team Members with software and system upgrades.
  • Troubleshoot server and application related issues.
  • Deploy, monitor, and maintain Office 365 related services and Azure environments such as SQL as a service, Windows/Linux Servers and.
  • Execute on various projects which included upgrades, new product roll outs, feature enhancements and server team related initiatives (self-driven task management).
  • Support and drive escalation/troubleshooting for problem quick resolution
  • Automating tasks whenever possible
  • Ensure that all systems are compliant with the Idaho Central Credit Union Security Program.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or engineering/math field of study is required. Must have 5-8 years’ experience managing applicable systems in a production environment.

 

Experience configuring AWS and/or Microsoft Azure cloud servers and services, Windows and Linux Servers and VMWare is required.

 

Managing host environments to ensure proper tuning, security best practices and sufficient capacity planning (including web servers, database servers, VMWare, Storage, and blades).

Understanding of how Active Directory operates and the ability to demonstrate proficiency utilizing GPO’s and related directory structure services.

 

Obtaining or already possessing one or more of the following is required (certs can also be obtained within the first 180 days of employement):

  • Azure experience or certifications such as the AZ-104 or AZ-500.
  • VMware certifications
  • Security certifications such as CISSP or Office 365/Azure (ex. M365 Mobility and Security or the MS-500).

 

Able to communicate with Executive Management, Credit Union personnel and communicate effectively through customized reports. Able to maintain confidentiality of Credit Union and member records at all times.

  • A demonstrated cooperative and positive attitude toward members and other Credit Union staff Ability to work without supervision.
  • Must be willing to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act as implemented by Idaho Central Credit

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (processing paperwork, filing, stapling, sorting, collating, typing, counting cash, etc.).
  • Sit for extended periods of time.
  • Lift 20-40 pounds of applicable supplies including but not limited to copy paper, cash drawers, marketing material, etc.
  • Repetitive motion using wrists, hands, and fingers.
  • Reach keyboards.
  • Ability to operate basic office machines (calculator, computer, telephone, copy machine, fax machine, etc.).
