    The BI Analyst translates data and analysis into usable and informative BI solutions which produce accurate business critical reports and dashboards. This role will help manage critical organization data and data systems, turn data into information, and information into insight. Delivers comprehensive business intelligence solutions, data modeling, reporting and analytics. Provides system administrative support for data reporting tools, including support for the user community.





    1. Work closely with business lines and vendor to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions. Provide data that is accurate, congruent, reliable, and is easily accessible. Help document the requirements from the various business lines.
    2. Responsible to identify and recommend methods for data from disparate systems to enhance the data warehouse environment for additional BI analytics.
    3. Work with vendor to support the further enhancements of BI visualizations.
    4. Technical skill set's needed include but not limited to: data modeling and most importantly BI reporting with Microsoft Power BI.
    5. Additional technical skill-sets preferred: SQL development experience, familiarity with using data from a star database schema, knowledge of SharePoint administration a plus, using DAX in Power BI, SSIS experience a plus.
    6. This person will work closely with professional services and software vendors to have an intimate knowledge of the entire system and future enhancements.
    7. Write technical policies, procedures, and documentation for what is developed including data flow diagrams and reporting library.
    8. Contribute to a team responsible for the design, development and implementation of mission critical business intelligence reports.
    9. Other duties as assigned.




    Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, or computer study required. Five plus years of experience in the development of enterprise BI reporting. Must have demonstrable experience creating professional, aesthetically pleasing visualizations. Ability to work with and communicate with all Credit Union personnel in the various departments. Understanding of Agile software development is a real plus but is not required. Experience with business intelligence visualization tools in dashboard and report design and publishing. Expertise in the research, development, and support of data visualization techniques. Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities. Willingness to work occasionally outside of normal business hours. Excellent English oral and written communication skills. Ability to work with other department supervisors. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality of Credit Union and member records at all times.


    They need to be self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities. They must have very good oral and written communication skills and the ability to work with all team members in every role. The person needs a good background strong analytical and problem-solving skills. They need a demonstrated cooperative and positive attitude toward members and other Credit Union staff. They must have a professional appearance, attendance, quality, and quantity of work performed with the ability to work without supervision. They must be willing to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act as implemented by Idaho Central Credit Union.


    Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (processing paperwork, filing, stapling, sorting, collating, typing, counting cash, etc.). Sit for extended periods of time. Lift 10-20 pounds of applicable supplies including but not limited to copy paper, cash drawers, marketing material, etc. Repetitive motion using wrists, hands, and fingers.  Reach keyboards.  Ability to operate basic office machines (calculator, computer, telephone, copy machine, fax machine, etc.).
