    As a Member Assistance Representative, you would be responsible for the control of delinquent loan accounts, overdrawn checking account, and pending late payment reminders.  You are expected to make follow up telephone calls on delinquent accounts and maintains accurate records of member contact. The ability to speak Spanish is preferred for this position.


    1. Update applications and interview past due members.
    2. Skip trace members.
    3. Contact members by telephone, letter, or in person for payment arrangements and recommend extensions.
    4. Review delinquency reports and CPI insurance.
    5. Verify account research and error corrections and process repossessions.
    6. Work any account 15 days or more past due and collect whenever possible.
    7. Recommends small claims action and represents the Credit Union in court.
    8. Council members with financial problems.
    9. Make field calls to past due members.
    10. Recommend and process repossessions.
    11. Process bankruptcies, Consumer Credit Counseling Service accounts and prepare accounts for charge off.
    12. Promote and market the Credit Union and
    13. Other duties as assigned. 


    Spanish speaking is preferred. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Good communication skills. Adequate knowledge of collection laws.  Ability in computer typing and input.  Ability to maintain the confidentiality of Credit Union and member records at all times.  Basic business math and English skills. 


    Ability to deal with conflict, discuss problems and request payment in a professional manner.  Professional in appearance, attitude, and verbal communications.  Ability to make sound decisions. Must be willing to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act as implemented by Idaho Central Credit Union.


    Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (processing paperwork, filing, stapling, sorting, collating, typing, counting cash, etc.). Sit for extended periods of time. Lift 20-40 pounds of office supplies (copy paper, computer paper, mail, etc.). Repetitive motion using wrists, hands, and fingers. Reach keyboards. Ability to operate basic office machines (calculator, computer, telephone, copy machine, fax machine, etc.).


    Must be eligible for membership at Idaho Central Credit Union to obtain employment.
