    The Teller Supervisor will be accountable to the Branch Manager for the overall performance of the teller line, including member service training, goal setting, performance driving, accuracy, audits, and coaching.  They will provide operational and member service training to Member Service Specialists.  They are expected to ensure a favorable image and climate for the Member Service Specialist team.

    Responsibilities

     

    1. Ability to perform all Member Service Specialist duties.
    2. Assign, direct and coordinate work of all Member Service Specialist staff within the department. Coordinating lunches and breaks of the Member Service Specialist staff.
    3. Assure all individual cash drawers are balanced on a daily basis and the quality and quantity of work is kept at a high standard.
    4. Train new team members. Assure proper training is being administered when performed by others.
    5. Complete annual performance appraisals.
    6. Hold regular coaching sessions to provide improved performance from Member Service Specialist team.
    7. Conduct periodic audits of the Member Service Specialist drawers and report any irregularities to the Store Manager.
    8. Hold weekly meetings with the Member Service Specialist staff to discuss changes in the procedures, policies and new services.
    9. Keep Store Manager informed of member needs or desires in regard to products and services.
    10. Involvement in the hiring of new Member Service Specialist team members.
    11. Other duties and special projects as assigned.

     

    Qualifications

    Good knowledge of Credit Union services and procedures.  Ability in math, 10 key calculator, and accurate cash handling.  Good people skills.  Accurate cash handling.  Ability to supervise staff.  Ability to maintain the confidentiality of Credit Union records at all times.

     

    Ability to take the lead in creating and shaping the Member Service Specialist department by helping to contribute efficiency, quality and pride.  Ability to accurately input member transactions and balance cash daily.  Ability to determine member needs and cross-sell services.  A cooperative and positive attitude toward members and staff.  Professional in appearance, attendance, quality, and quantity of work performed. Must be willing to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act as implemented by Idaho Central Credit Union.

     

    Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (processing paperwork, filing, stapling, sorting, collating, typing, counting cash, etc.). Sit or stand for extended periods of time. Lift 20-40 pound (cash drawers and bags of coin etc.). Repetitive motion using wrists, hands, and fingers. Reach keyboards and cash drawers. Ability to operate basic office machines (calculator, computer, telephone, copy machine, fax machine, etc.).
