    As the Software Development Team Manager, your primary objective is to build and mentor high-performing developers (20%) while conducting development work yourself (80%) – all coupled with innovative thinking to bring change and benefit to the Credit Union and its members.  This role will also maintain an emerging technology focus, helping to inform business partners on upcoming opportunities and technologies.

    Responsibilities

     

    1. Lead the development team which assists in providing ICCU team members and members with digital solution such as digital banking, online account opening, CRM and many other to-be projects and services.
    2. Conducts code reviews and release coordination activities by assuring processes are being followed in relation to the SDLC policies and BRD (Business Requirements Documentation).
    3. Actively develop solutions, producing code that is used in test and production level environments. This role includes 80% of independent software development duties and 20% leadership responsibilities.
    4. Lead and inspire team members to ensure they are performing their day to day duties at a high level.
    5. Build relationships with business partners to maintain internal customer services on supported systems.
    6. Coordinate the daily work of the team assuring goals and targets are being met.
    7. Work with third party vendors to develop and/or enhance solutions to achieve superior technology solutions for ICCU members.
    8. Offer strong written and oral communication skills, including strong facilitation and presentation skills
    9. Implement and maintain technical solutions which are compliant with industry standards.

     

     

     

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or other development focused degree.  8 years of experience in application development on multiple platforms using both the waterfall and agile methodology. Languages and platforms may include:  AngularJS, Node.JS, WCF, WPF and ASP.NET, NET 3.5 or above, Java, JavaScript, MS Visual Studio/.Net, MSVC (Visual C#, Visual C++), XCode/Objective C, Swift, Android, C++, C#, PHP, Python, MySQL, SQL, XML, HTML5, Salesforce Apex. 4 years’ experience leading development teams delivering solutions to production environments. C Programming Language Certified Professional or Oracle Certified Professional (java) certification or equivalent. Results oriented with the ability to work in a fast paced environment. Strong technical leadership with solid people management skills. Ability to work with various functional groups and organizational departments, while handling complex projects from concept to execution in a dynamic environment. Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities. Willingness to work occasionally outside of normal business hours. Excellent English oral and written communication skills. Ability to work with other department supervisors. Knowledge of data processing, hardware platforms, and enterprise software applications. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to maintain the confidentiality of the Credit Union and member records at all times.

     

    Ability to fix complex problems and determine appropriate priorities. Attention to detail on many concurrent projects and initiatives. Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service. Ability to work without supervision. A demonstrated cooperative and positive attitude toward members and other Credit Union staff. Must be willing to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act as implemented by Idaho Central Credit Union.

     

    Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (processing paperwork, filing, stapling, sorting, collating, typing, etc.)  Sit for extended periods of time.  Lift 20-40 pounds of office supplies (copy paper, computer paper, mail, etc).  Repetitive motion using wrists, hands, and fingers.  Reach keyboards.  Ability to operate basic office machines (calculator, computer, telephone, copy machine, fax machine, etc).
