Idaho Central Credit Union is seeking an energetic and outgoing individual to join our team. As a Branch Intern your role will be to learn the credit union business through the role of the teller. This is a great way to learn the business and from there, many opportunities become available. You must currently attend Mountain View High School in order to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

  1. Operates on-line computer terminal, records and balances generated transactions directly by member, mail, or night drop.
  2. Provides general information to members about Credit Union Services.
  3. Recognizes and develops opportunities to refer products and services to members, and maintain acceptable levels of Game of Work Sales goals.
  4. Knowledge or ability to balance vault, ATM, ED or EDNA, Penny, money orders, VISA cash advances, gift cards, debit card stock, daily deposit, and teller cash drawer.
  5. Process member check orders.
  6. Create member debit cards.
  7. Continuous focus on meeting all NPS goals and Eagle Service Standards.
  8. Keep your manager informed of member needs or desires in regard to products, services, suggestions, and/or escalations.
  9. Open and provide member access to safe deposit boxes according to procedure in applicable offices.
  10. Miscellaneous other duties, as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Please note in order to be considered for this position you must currently attend Mountain View High School. The application process is open from February 5th - February 25th. Accuracy in all areas. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to determine member needs and promote Credit Union services. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to maintain the confidentiality of Credit Union records.

 

Must take pride in department, always meeting and exceeding member’s expectations.  Must be professional and courteous in manner, with a focus on details, attendance, quality and quantity of work performed.  Must be willing to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act as implemented by Idaho Central Credit Union.

 

Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (processing paperwork, filing, stapling, sorting, collating, typing etc.) Sit for extended periods of time.  Repetitive motion using wrists, hands, and fingers.  Reach keyboards.  Ability to operate basic office machines (calculator, computer, telephone, copy machine, fax machine, etc).

 

Must be eligible for membership at Idaho Central Credit Union to obtain employment.
