As a Deposit Services Specialist your primary function will be to perform various duties regarding transaction processing and balancing. You will also be expected to ensure member satisfaction through courteous, accurate, and efficient service.

  1. Process various back office duties, which include file and batch processing.
  2. Balancing of accounts or general ledgers.
  3. Cash ordering/monitoring
  4. Work with vendors and partners
  5. Understand applicable regulations
  6. Process ACH and origination files, work exception reports, TELs, disputes, watch for possible fraud accounts
  7. Process Preferred Pay files
  8. Reclamations, death notifications
  9. External transfer monitoring
  10. Oversee IRA process
  11. Process check adjustments
  12. Daily Check posting, balancing, returns, stop pays, and disputes.
  13. Review the daily check rejects and returns, checking for possible fraud accounts, stop pays, etc.
  14. Oversee remote deposit channels; mobile/my deposit, business remote deposit
  15. End of day check file transmission
  16. Foreign check collections
  17. Duties mentioned above will be distributed and assigned to Operations Staff as needed for department efficiency.


Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred. Excellent math skills and computer knowledge. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain the confidentiality of Credit Union and member records at all times. A demonstrated cooperative and positive attitude toward members and other Credit Union staff. Accurate in balancing and account research. Be able to diagnose simple problems. Professional in appearance, attendance, quality, and quantity of work performed. Must be willing to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act as implemented by Idaho Central Credit Union.


Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (processing paperwork, filing, stapling, sorting, collating, typing, counting cash, etc.). Sit for extended periods of time. Lift 20-40 pounds of office supplies (copy paper, computer paper, mail, etc.). Repetitive motion using wrists, hands, and fingers. Reach keyboards. Ability to operate basic office machines (calculator, computer, telephone, copy machine, fax machine, etc.).
