As a Member Assistance Officer your primary function would be to process loan hardship requests, organize mailings, manage collection agency assignments, and other supporting tasks of daily operations of the Member Assistance Department.

Responsibilities

  1. Review reports for collection agency assignments.
  2. Reply to document requests from collection agencies.
  3. Perform maintenance on charged off accounts.
  4. Request and track GAP/Service Contract refunds.
  5. Image Member assistance related documents. 
  6. Making outbound calls for early stage delinquency. 
  7. Learning the tasks of a Member Assistance Officer.
  8. Manage titles related to Member Assistance processes and prepare affidavits of repossession.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED. Some college preferred. Excellent data processing and computer skills. Ability to work under pressure and in an organized manner. Excellent communication and people skills. Knowledge of general delinquency management policies. Understands Credit Union goal and objectives. Ability in math, 10 key, and computer. Ability to complete work accurately with minimal supervision. Must be detail oriented. Ability to maintain the confidentiality of Credit Union and member records at all times.

 

A demonstrated cooperative and positive attitude toward members and other Credit Union team members. Professional in appearance, attendance, quality and quantity of work performed. Must comply with Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, FCRA, FDCPA, and other laws or regulations as implemented by Idaho Central Credit Union.

 

Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (processing paperwork, filing, stapling, sorting, collating, typing, counting cash, etc.). Sit for extended periods of time. Lift 20-40 pounds of office supplies (copy paper, computer paper, mail, etc.). Repetitive motion using wrists, hands, and fingers. Ability to operate basic office machines (calculator, computer, telephone copy machine, fax machine, etc.).

 

Must be eligible for membership at Idaho Central Credit Union to obtain employment.
